How To Stay Connected With Your Customers During The Shut Down

“No one has a playbook for this,” said Dan Levin, who runs a small company outside Chicago.

Will life ever be the same?

What’s ahead for all of us?

These are haunting questions that lay on the backside of our minds as we deal with current events that change in hours.

For part of our day, we are a witness to human tragedy as the death toll climbs. The rest of our day spent on our own survival and keeping our loved ones safe. We are all, including businesses large and small, being stretched economically.

Yet, we all stand ready to offer a helping hand and we then gather the strength needed from one another to move forward. Myself, I think if anything changes society will grow kinder and more understanding of challenges. Life will have a deeper meaning and relationships more important.

“America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, imagination, and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” Harry S Truman

Business, Internet Marketers will appreciate even more so the value of their customers and Entrepreneurs will develop new ways towards convenience for all. Convenience is time saved.
How can we stay at the forefront with our customers during these trying times? By returning what they give to us. Our thanks, our loyalty and our understanding, and most of all our help.
“Try to act before you have to react. Be there first because no one ever remembers the second one that enters the door. And front-page news is about the one that failed to deliver.”

If you have your list then you are mostly there and just need good content to send out, but don’t worry if you have no list because there are other ways.
A great example, if you are one of those with a drive-thru and are open or even deliver there are a number of things you can do.
  • Coupons - Hand out to your customers
  • A flyer about your business, how long you have been in the community and how much you appreciate their business. Put them with each order in pickups and delivery.
  • Put a QR Code on the flyer. I have a FREE QR Code site and you have a choice of 3 codes or use them all. When they scan the code, your information is on their phone. Good quality too.

“QR Codes are essential to Mobile Marketing”

FreeVirtualBusinessCards

Virtual Business Card

Load all of your contact information into a users smartphone when they scan the code. The code will launch the users address book and your information will be "populated" and ready to save.

Phone Number

This is a special QR code that, when scanned, will automatically launch a smartphone's "Phone" feature and preload your phone number so that all the user needs to do is tap "Call" on their phone

URL

This is the most common QR code usage. This is used to simply launch a smartphone web browser and take the user to a specific webpage. You can direct the user to any web page you wish. It can be used to provide product information, launch your main website from a sign in a storefront window, provide a coupon on a point of purchase display, in a print ad for more information.

Once your QR code is created you can blow it up into virtually any size you want or shrink it to a size small enough to accommodate a business card and everything else in between.

Why use QR Codes? Most phones have a built-in scanner for the Codes. It is a simple Scan and Go. Codes can be scanned in seconds and can be done while at the drive-thru window.

If you look at major retailers all of them use QR Codes and you should include them in your marketing strategy. Go take a look at your competitors and see what they are doing. There are many ways to use them and why not? They are FREE and as many as you want.
